MACSI Space presents "About the Rust – Shedding Skin", a solo exhibition by Manuela Troilo. April 15–17, 2016.

“Changing skin”: a title, an intention for this flash exhibit, born from the artist’s desire to reinvent herself, to discover new forms and colors, and to rediscover herself where time causes wear—transforming what is commonly perceived as decay into opportunity. Just as rust becomes the means for a sheet of metal from an old car to turn into an object of art, so too can the changes brought by the world offer human beings a chance for rebirth.

“Cambio pelle”: un titolo, un’intenzione per questa flash-exhibit, che nasce dal desiderio dell’artista di reinventarsi, di scoprire nuove forme e colori, di riscoprirsi laddove il tempo logora, per mutare quello che nel senso comune è decadimento in opportunità. Come la ruggine diventa la possibilità per una lamiera di una vecchia auto di trasformarsi in oggetto d’arte, così i cambiamenti che il mondo porta con sé possono essere per l’uomo l’occasione di rinascita.
